About this School Project (Kusama Flowers and Vases)
Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese artist best known for her larger than life dot creations. She also makes paintings featuring objects covered in dots and sometimes includes what she calls 'webs.' 1st and 2nd grade first made a webbed background and a simple table using vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines, then created vases and flowers that were later covered in dots made with paint. They tried to use the size of the dots to make objects appear more dimensional.
