About this School Project (Starry Night Sunflowers)
Students were introduced to master painter, Vincent Van Gogh. After viewing two of his most famous works, "Starry Night" and "Sunflowers", they used them as inspiration for their own versions. Short brushstrokes and thick paint were used to make curved lines to show motion. Lastly, we practiced scissor techniques and attached the sunflowers with the petals folded forward to create a 3-dimensional element.
