About this School Project (Rhythm-Movement/ Emphasis Sculpture)
Students were challenged to create a single sculpture that demonstrates the principles of Rhythm-Movement and Emphasis. Some students made sculptures where repeated elements draw the view's eye through the sculpture to create a visual rhythm- movement. Others made sculptures where the movement is implied- like a snapshot of movement frozen in time. Still others devised sculptures where parts move through human interaction, air motion, or where the fully rendered sculpture would have a motor to drive actual movement. Each sculpture should also have something eye-catching that provides a point of visual emphasis that grabs your attention.
