About this School Project (William Turner Landscape)
Students heard about the life and artwork of William Turner who is known as the "painter of light." They discussed how many artists created their artwork from observation or in the open air, "en plein air." For their project students sketched around the outside of the school. They had to draw a landscape based on what they observed from their surroundings. They later redrew their sketch to make a final drawing, traced it in black marker, and used chalk pastel to add color.
