About this School Project (3rd Grade Beanie Babies)
This project was a hit! This was the third graders first effort in “observational drawing,” or drawing from real life. I brought out my collection of Beanie Babies bears and each artist chose one to draw. We looked at each feature of the bear and drew them, being careful to draw what we SAW and not just what we thought a bear looked like. After drawing, we were careful to match colors and design a background for the bears.
