About this School Project (4th Grade Castle Drawings)
To create these drawings the 4th grade art classes looked at pictures and drawings of castles. We talked about the different parts of a castle like the battlements, moat, portcullis and arrow loops.
The 4th grade artists then drew detailed castles and outlined them with Sharpie markers. They used tagboard rectangles of various sizes to help them make their lines straight and build the basic shapes of their castles. Some of the 4th graders challenged themselves to use their knowledge of color blending to create cool special effects on their castles.
