About this School Project (Grade 1- Patterned Hand Designs)
Students learned about hand designs and the Moroccan good luck hands called Khamsas. This craft originated in Morocco and spread to many Mediterranean cultures. The word Khamsa means “five” and refers to the five fingers. Students created their own repeat hand design with patterns and colors.
