About this School Project (2nd Grade-Monet Garden Paintings)
The 2nd Grade have been studying Claude Monet and his beautiful Water Lilies and Garden Paintings. We have tried to imitate his "smeary" IMPRESSIONIST Style using a combination of Crayons, Oil Pastels, and Water Paints. We have included some of the iconic images from Monet's Garden in our Paintings. These include: the Japanese Bridge, the Bench, the Pond, the patches of Garden Flowers, and other things from memory which we saw in the video, "Linnea in Monet's Garden". We also tried to learn a bit about DEPTH and how to give the ILLUSION of DEPTH in our Art, by changing the size of things, like our CLOUDS and FLOWER PATCHES. We hope you enjoy our Paintings!
