About this School Project (Colorful Chameleons: Grade 1)
Students listened to the story, “A Color of His Own” by Leo Leoni about a chameleon who camouflages himself to blend into his surroundings. After listening to the story, students drew a chameleon using bold dark lines, strong shapes and fun patterns. Students were encouraged to create implied texture using oil pastels or crayons and watercolor as they added color to their lizards.
