About this School Project (Colorful "Kandinsky" Trees)
Students looked at the paintings of Wassily Kandinsky. They reflected on the paintings of colored circles they created in 4K. They learned how to draw a tree by starting with the trunk and splitting it into two big branches. From there they filled a penciled circle w/smaller branches using a black Sharpie marker. They added fields w/patterns and used colored Sharpie markers to make their "Kandinsky" circles to fill out the top of their trees. They mixed colors of watercolor paints to add color to their background.
