About this School Project (1st Grade Snowmen at Night)
Have you ever noticed that snow looks different at night? It takes on different hues of blue and purple. While looking at photos, the first graders observed different colors of snow based on what time of day it is. (We also have lots of snow outside of our classroom windows!) They also looked at scenes from the movie Frozen and saw all different shades of blue, purple and pink that the artists used to make snow and ice look realistic. After reading the book Snowmen at Night by Caralyn and Mark Buehner, the first graders drew their own snowy scenes. Notice all of the beautiful colors they used in the snow!
