About this School Project (Mouse Paint)
Kindergarten students read the book Mouse Paint about 3 little mice who jumped into the jars of the primary colors and made a mess. When they jumped around to each other's puddles, they discovered they could make the secondary colors of orange, green and purple. How fun! For our project, students only had the primary colors to paint their paper. Their goal was to experiment with mixing colors and try to make as many secondary colors as they could. They even made colors (such as brown) that they hadn't planned for. To finish it off, we ripped pieces of white paper for our mice, used pink paper to cut out ears and a tail and drew a face with crayon. Please compliment your favorite artist!
