About this School Project (Kindergarten Free Choice Painting)
As students finished their Kandinsky inspired paintings, we watched a read-aloud about Kandinsky. The children's book entitled, The Noisy Paintbox, told about how he could hear colors and loved to paint to music. He was one of the first abstract painters, who loved colors and shapes, even if they didn't look like anything. He didn't like art teachers who told him what he had to paint. This project was simply a time for students to paint whatever they wanted. I'm sure Kandinsky would be pleased! Ask your own child to tell you more about their art!
