About this School Project (Blind Contour w/Media)
In this project, students focused on the Art of Observation & Recording, without the pressure of what their portrait would look like in the end. While keeping their marker on the paper, they have utilized one continuous line. By not looking at the paper, they are practicing their observation of the details, size, shape, and subtle variations of each feature and how it is composed. The result is an abstract portrait of sorts. It is not the objective to create a realistic or proportionally correct portrait.
Then the students could exercise their own creativity in selecting where and what media, and how to apply it to finish off this abstract exercise. Enjoy!!
