About this School Project (1st grade, winter landscapes!)
Students learned about using tints and shades by blending white and black into a color to make it lighter ( a tint) or darker ( a shade).
We also talked about what a silhouette is and how a winter scene would look in art. Students chose what color they wanted to paint in and what type of winter scene to add in the foreground.
