About this School Project (Rainbow Aurora)
Students learned about the Northern Lights and how they occur. They sang a song to practice memorizing the order of the colors in the color spectrum and made a rainbow Aurora sky with snowy hills and trees. They experimented with using chalk pastel and blending them with a qtip to create their aurora colors in the sky. They used white oil pastel to make the hills and trees. We discussed the differences between oil and chalk and how they look and feel different.
