About this School Project (Coffee Filter Ornament (copy))
Students learned about color mixing. They then colored with markers on a white coffee filter and then spritzed it with water, sprinkled with salt and let dry. Next we discussed line in art. We talked about 3 different types of line, straight, wavy and zig-zag. We made two each of these types of lines on a 4x6 sheet of paper. Then we discussed proper folding technique. We folded the sheet, punched a hole in the center top and added a yarn tied in a knot. We "painted" over each line with glue and then added glitter. We glued this to the top of our coffee filter to create an ornament.
