About this School Project (Honoring Veterans / Symbols of Freedom)
To honor our Veterans, Grades 1-4 all worked on creating symbols of freedom; bald eagles, the Statue of Liberty, Heart Flags and Flag Ribbons. The older grades created artwork using military silhouettes. 5-6 studied positive/negative space in art and added their own patriotic words in red, white and blue. 7-8 watercolored a background of their choice, then added a silhouette with sharpie.
