About this School Project (2nd Grade Oil Pastel Monsters)
We began this project by reading the silly book, "Monsters Love Underpants" by Claire Freedman. We talked about all of the features that monsters can have and then used a white colored pencil on black paper to show two monsters up close. We colored with a new art material; oil pastels! Oil pastels are like crayons, but they're made with an oil mixture instead of wax. They show up beautifully on black paper!
