About this School Project ((Turquoise) Pablo Picasso Cubism Portraits)
After becoming familiar with Picasso and the cubism style, they practiced drawing using many perspectives in one portrait, then created a large one on their art paper. They traced over the angles and geometric and organic shapes. For the background (negative space), students used watercolor to create a monochromatic simple gradient plus design. Students added non-traditional color to the portrait with oil pastels and practiced filling each shape, layering color, and blending color to finish their artwork.
