About this School Project (Faith Ringgold inspired story quilts 1-5)
Students were introduced to the contemporary artist Faith Ringgold, her story quilts and also were read her children's book Tar Beach.
Students were introduced to and reviewed the art terms variety, patterns, and illustration.
The border and stitches of these artworks help the paper to appear like fabric stitched together, tying the different parts of their illustrated stories together.
