Students slowed way down and observed objects in their environment just as many artists have done so before them. Taking a deep breath, looking closely, we are able to begin to notice things that we may have overlooked in our everyday life, like the light reflected off of an object or or colors we didn't see before. Learning to see is the most important step in learning to paint and draw.
Working regularly helps strengthen our art making skills. Students illustrated the letters D and E for week three and the letters F and G for week four. Then they uploaded their art into Artsonia. Everyone can become good, and even great at art, if they practice!
