About this School Project (Printed Cityscape Collages)

Third grade artists drew their own two-block cityscape showing both a background and a foreground building line. They then attached their drawing to a styrofoam printing block and traced over it with an ebony pencil, which made an etching into their printing block. They then printed a series of 6 prints using a brayer and printing ink. After this, they chose their best prints and cut them out. Students created a background sky using oil pastels and assembled their collage using glue.
