About this School Project (Impressionist Vase and Flowers)
Students were introduced to the impressionist painter Berthe Morisot. She was a highly regarded painter, although her name is not as widely known as Cassat, Cézanne, Monet, or Renoir. In painting the vase with flowers, students tried to paint like an impressionist, showing their brushstroke and not mixing too much on the paper. Students learned about warm colors and cool colors. They choose one for the flowers and the other for the vase.
