About this School Project (Thanksgiving cornucopia placemats)
Each year, the students in K through grade 5 create a place mat for the annual all school gathering. They use the same instruction every year to view student growth. Did the student display knowledge gained concerning size and space relationships? Did the student use color to show light and shadow to create form, as they do in grade 5? Is the student aware that a blueberry cannot support a banana? Each year, the students apply their knowledge gained to make their place mats. At the end of painting, there should be no negative space remaining.
