About this School Project (Pumpkin Patch Landscape)

First grade artists looked at the painting 'Fall Plowing' by Grant Wood to learn about the three parts of a landscape: Foreground, Middle ground and Background, as well as the Horizon Line (where the sky meets the land) Students discussed size of objects, overlapping, detail and where objects lie on the page to show the Element of Art: Space.
