About this School Project (Pumpkin weavings)
Students learned about weaving different materials to make fabric, bags, rugs, etc by reading the book "Rainbow Weaver" by Tejedora Del ArcoIris in which a young Mayan girl wanting to continue her family's tradition of weaving,discovers weaving can be done with just about anything..even thrown away colorful plastic bags! So we made our first attempt at weaving with paper and pumpkins! This was so HARD but we kept trying!!!
