About this School Project (Cave Paintings)
Kindergarten students were introduced to cave paintings and discussed how long ago there were no stores, schools or way to write, so people had to grow their own food and sew their own clothes and find a way to teach people. This is why cave paintings were created. Students then used original cave paintings for inspiration and they drew their own cave painting of what they found important for people to know about cave life. Mrs. Napier went around the room and sprayed the student's hand on their cave drawing, wherever the student wanted it, just as they had seen on the original cave paintings. Finally, students learned about texture, rough and smooth. They decided cave walls are made of rocks and are rough so we crumbled our artworks to mimic that texture.
