About this School Project (2 - Maps)
INTRO:?
During this lesson students were read the book “My Map Book” by Sara Fanelli. While viewing the pages, students noted how the illustrator/illustrator drew, organized and labeled each map. Some illustrations were of more typical map-like locations while others were of such things as a map of a tummy, a dog, and a day. ??
PROJECT:
Students then created their own map. Like the book, they could choose a typical style map or something a bit more silly. They had to draw their image large, create a title, label locations/details on their object/map, outline it all with sharpie and then color it in with colored pencils.
