About this School Project (Chris Uphues Hearts)
The students learned about the artist Chris Uphues, who is famous for painting fun cartoon hearts. He likes to create art that makes people smile. The student each drew 4-7 hearts and then created a unique face/expression for each heart. We added patterns with color sticks and colored the eyes & mouths. Then we painted our hearts with watercolors. Finally, we added some sparkle by using metallic watercolor paint to the background.
Los estudiantes aprendieron sobre el artista Chris Uphues, quien es famoso por pintar divertidos dibujos animados de corazones. Le gusta crear arte que haga sonreír a la gente. Cada estudiante dibujó 4-7 corazones y luego creó una cara / expresión única para cada corazón. Añadimos patrones con palos de colores y coloreamos los ojos y bocas. Luego pintamos nuestros corazones con acuarelas. Finalmente, agregamos un poco de brillo usando pintura metálica de acuarela al fondo.
