About this School Project (2nd Grade Romero Britto Designs)
Romero Britto is a Pop Artist who likes to draw happy things; hearts, animals, and people having fun and showing love. Characteristics of his art include bright colors, patterns and bold black outlines. Take a minute to look him up--our 2nd grade artists really liked learning about his work!
The 2nd graders began this project by choosing an image to be the focal point of their artwork. They had some step-by-step worksheets to help them draw their images. After drawing and coloring their images they broke up the background of their artwork with intersecting lines. Then they filled in some of the spaces with patterns in the style of Romero Britto. Last, they colored their backgrounds.
This is one of my favorite new projects this year!
