About this School Project (Impressionist Christmas Trees (2nd Grade))
Students studied how Impressionist painters like Monet, Renoir, and Morisot used colorful brushstrokes to paint light and atmosphere---especially outdoors. We enjoyed creating Impressionist-style Christmas trees with oil pastel, while observing miniature trees in the classroom.
These were done with Christmas cards and ornaments in mind!
