About this School Project (2 - Spooky Silhouettes)
In order to get in the “mood,” students were first read the book "In the Haunted House" by Eve Bunting. They were then shown how to create a haunted house by using crooked details and many funny shaped additions. They then looked at how to draw books (Ed Emberly and Ralph Maseillo) to aide them in drawing their spooky scenes. Finally, they colored their scenes with construction paper crayons.
*As always, students were told that if they did not want to draw a spooky scene they could also draw a silhouette of a house with everyday details.
