Artist Statement (what Madison38501 said about their artwork)
1. I used newspaper to represent texture. The paper also looks like a repeating pattern. I used darker colored newspaper to make the center stand out a bit more than the rest of the piece.
2. I centered the picture near the left side of the paper. I did this and it helped draw more attention to the actual picture. At first I regretted off centering it, and then realized that I could use it to my advantage.
3. I learned how to watercolor properly. I've never actually knew how to watercolor until this project. I was doubting myself, but it didn't turn out that bad. If I could redraw this piece, I would probably use a darker variety of color/ more c9or to make it really stand out.
