About this School Project (Lines that Wiggle)
2nd grade read the book, "Lines that Wiggle" and we discussed ALL the different kinds of lines we saw in the book and then we looked for different kinds of lines around the room. We learned how to use a Bold sharpie marker to create thick lines. This was challenging for us because we really had to slow down and turn our paper a lot to achieve the right effect. We created 4-6 of our own wiggly lines encouraging large arm movements and tracing with our Bold sharpie. We used crayons and crayola markers to color them in and used water to spread some of the marker around. Water turns water-based markers into watercolor! We had fun watching some colors mix and reviewed crayon resist. Awesome!
