About this School Project (Georgia O'Keeffe Flowers)
The first grade class learned about American artist Georgia O'Keeffe, who is best known for creating paintings of enlarged flowers. We created our own 3D center for the flower and chose our own color and shape to cut for flower petals. After looking at many of Georgia O'Keeffe's artworks, students were encouraged to create a background inspired by her work such a desert, city, garden or mountains. We used the oil pastel/watercolor resist method.
