About this School Project (Blind Contour Self-Portraits)
Students used the practice of blind contour to create these self- portraits. Blind contour drawing is drawing by looking soley at the subject and not the paper. The practice trains the artist to draw what they observe rather than what they "know" by memory. The excercise also helps with hand-eye coordination. The students then painted their drawings with watercolor to make these fun, abstract paintings!
