About this School Project (Egyptian Sarcophagus)
The 2/3's have an overarching theme this year of studying how water affects civilizations. To continue this unit in art class we have started to study civilizations based around water, first up, Egypt! We learned about the traditional mumification process and some of the main beliefs of the Egyptian people. Each 2/3 created a sarcophagus by working with a partner to trace each other. They then added designs and colors. They were each required to write their name in hieroglyphics, but encouraged to write even more! They also filled out a worksheet about their "visit" to Ancient Egypt.
