About this School Project (Ms. Sauer 4th Grade Radial Relief)
This lesson was an introduction to Radial Balance which is a symmetrical design around a center point. We looked at images of art that uses this design from buildings, nature, down to even hubcaps! Then we learned the term "relief" which is something that is raised off a flat surface. We combined these two ideas and used some paper folding techniques to create gorgeous artworks.
