Artist Statement (what Charlie6402 said about their artwork)

This portrait is a portrait of Santa. I created this portrait because it was close to Chrismas time and I wanted to get into the Christmas spirit. If you look closely the North pole sign was pointing to Santa.

About this School Project (Self-Morphtrait)

We remixed our self-portrait unit this year by having students morph themselves into a new character - superhero, comic book legend, animal, greek myth... anything goes! We studied facial proportions and how things are measured in relationship to each other and placed on the face to draw more realistically. Then, we used color pencils to add amazing and creative details. This may be the most fun portrait project we've ever done!
