About this School Project (*Kindergarten Winter Landscape)
This winter wonderland showcases two artistic techniques used to show depth and space in a picture. As objects get farther away from the viewer, they get smaller and lighter in color. The trees in this project help convey a sense of space. The kindergarten artists used oil pastels and glitter to decorate the trees.

To paint their ground, they first used blue paint on the bottom half of their papers. This area is called the foreground. The middle ground was painted by mixing white and blue together to make a lighter tint of blue.

They finished their papers off by painting falling snow on their papers.

Avery, I love your trees, close and far away. It feels as though I'm walking through a forest covered in snow!
