About this School Project (1st Grade Textured Fall Trees)
The first grade art classes learned about a couple different painting techniques while creating this project. They began this project by painting their background using blue, green and white tempera paint. They worked on using a sweeping motion with their brushes to make a smooth color.
Then, on another piece of paper, they used sponges to paint the "leaves" for their trees with a mixture of yellow, orange and red paint.
After all of the paint was dry they collaged their papers together to make a serene fall scene!
