About this School Project (Scaredy Cats)
Kindergartners read the book "Black Cat" by Christopher Myers and had to find the black cat on each page. We learned out to paint a cat with the emotion of surprise. First we painted a jelly bean shape for a body, a circle for a head, triangle ears, lines for legs and a tail and circle paws. To make it look spooked, we painted lines coming out of its back and some other spots. We also learned how to paint different kinds of lines for a background. The next class, we cut out our cat, leaving some of the background paper to see. We also added a face and some whiskers with oil pastel and marker. Does my cat look spooky???
