About this School Project (2Mq Complementary Critters)
We discussed using complementary colors. They are colors that make each other brighter when they are next to each other. Complementary colors are colors straight across from each other on the color wheel. Yellow and violet are complementary colors. Green and red are complementary colors. Orange and blue are complementary colors.
We drew our critters so that it looks like we were right next to them. We chose a color to paint our critters and then chose its complementary color for the background. It’s like we were giving them a compliment; “You look so great with that color!”
