About this School Project (2nd - Fall Landscape)
Second grade artists are exploring the season of Fall by creating Fall landscape paintings. A landscape is a picture of the outside, which usually includes the land and sky. We talked about how landscapes usually show the horizon - the line where the land and sky meet. To create their landscapes, second graders started by painting their sky and ground with liquid watercolor paints. They then added trees using cut paper and added painted details to create the bark texture. Finally, they used tempera paint to add leaves in beautiful fall colors - reds, oranges, yellows, and browns.
