About this School Project (Dots)
In Art class, we read "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds. In this story, a frustrated grade school artist, Vashti sits slumped over her blank piece of paper at the end of art class. "I just CAN'T draw!" she tells her teacher. Her teacher encourages her to "just make a mark and see where it takes her". This inspires Vashti to go beyond her insecurities and become, in the words of a younger boy who "can't draw" either, a really great artist!

Each student creativley made their mark on a dot that will be apart of our school-wide mural to celebrate International Dot Day on September 15th!
