About this School Project (Redwood Forest Paintings)
Third grade students illustrated the phrase, "from the Redwood Forest" from the song entitled, This Land Is Your Land. They drew the trees using the technique of one-point perspective. They drew a vanishing point in the middle of their papers. They used rulers to draw straight lines towards the vanishing point. They painted their trees and sky with tempera paint. They sponge-printed leaves on top of their trees.
