About this School Project (Kandinsky Concentric Circles)
Students learned about the artist Wassily Kandinsky and his famous painting using concentric circles (circles inside of a circle). Inspired by Kandinsky’s painting, students created their own versions by dividing their paper into squares through folding, and drawing their own concentric circles using a variety of colors and art materials.
Ask: What shape did Kandinsky paint over and over?
What is a concentric circle?
How did you divide your paper into even squares without drawing or measuring?
What are some of the colors and art materials you chose for your concentric circles?
