About this School Project (Winter Tree Paintings)
Kindergarten students listened to the book entitled, Owl Moon and examined the illustrations of the lines and textures of winter trees. They also did the same thing by looking at photographs of winter trees. In the first lesson, they drew their winter trees using horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines. They added texture with black crayons to represent tree bark. In the second lesson, they added snow to the tree branches using tempera paint.
