About this School Project (Geometric Shape Art)
As a class we first looked at artwork by the famous artists, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, and Frank Stella. We compared and contrasted their work and discussed their use of shapes. We then reviewed some of the main geometric shapes and practiced creating new shapes with them. Then students designed their own compositions with a variety of shapes. To finish, each student decided what materials they wanted to use to finish the piece.
